Carolyn M. McBee was born in Portland, Oregon – descended from Oregon wagon train pioneer stock.  She graduated from Oregon State University in the School of Forestry, with post-grad work at Lewis and Clark College for her teaching certificate.  She retired after teaching 32 years in Portland, Lake Oswego and Japan.  A lover of books, nature, gardening, camping, crafts (quilts/embroidery/watercolor), and travel; she also enjoys her cozy little cottage in Sherwood with her cat, Maggie Mae.  She has been blessed by God with a wonderful life, and good friends, and gives Him the glory for it all.
