Welcome to Morgan Pierce Media & Publishing™, an imprint of Morgan Media & Publishing, LLC. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, website, and any engagement related to publishing, editorial, or promotional support.
By submitting a manuscript or working with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Who We Are
Morgan Pierce Media & Publishing™ is a hybrid publisher offering professional publishing, editing, and marketing services. We are not a vanity press or traditional publisher; instead, we offer authors a collaborative path to publication while allowing them to retain full rights and royalties.
2. Submission & Evaluation
All manuscripts submitted are reviewed for quality, alignment with our values, and publishing potential. Acceptance is not guaranteed. Submissions must be original, and the author must hold all rights.
You must be at least 18 years old to submit work. Previously published works are not accepted.
3. Project Acceptance & Fees
Once your manuscript is accepted, a publishing agreement will outline your selected services and payment structure.
- Fees are outlined in advance; there are no hidden costs.
- We accept credit card and cashier’s check (by arrangement).
- Payments must be made as agreed; late payments may incur interest and collection fees.
- Disputes must be reported within 30 days of a charge.
- Failure to comply may result in termination of service or legal action, including recovery of outstanding fees.
4. Ownership & Rights
Authors retain all rights and full ownership of their work. Morgan Pierce Media & Publishing™ is granted a limited, non-exclusive license to reproduce, promote, and distribute the work as outlined in your publishing agreement.
5. Editorial Standards
Submitted content must meet our editorial standards. We reserve the right to edit, suggest revisions, or decline work that includes:
- Plagiarized or libelous material
- Obscene or pornographic content
- Excessively violent or offensive material
- Content violating legal or moral standards
- We maintain editorial control over presentation elements like formatting, titling, and metadata.
6. Promotional Use & Branding
By working with us, you grant permission for us to use your book title, name, and cover image in promotional materials, listings, and industry catalogs.
7. Data & Privacy
Your personal data is collected for communication and service delivery only. For full details, refer to our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or misuse your data.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login and account information.
9. Service Modifications
We reserve the right to update these Terms, adjust services, or modify fees. Updates will be posted to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
10. Termination
We may terminate services at any time for breach of contract or misuse. You may cancel your project in writing, subject to any fees or progress completed. All outstanding balances remain due.
11. Disclaimers
Services are provided “as-is” and without warranty. We are not responsible for:
- Errors or delays outside our control
- Accuracy of third-party vendor data or services
- Author content or claims made within published works
12. Limitation of Liability
Morgan Media & Publishing, LLC and Morgan Pierce Media & Publishing™ are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our liability will not exceed the amount paid by you in the six months prior to any claim.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any legal matters must be filed in the courts of Harris County, Texas.
